White vintage fur coat.

[Vintage fur + J.Crew cords + Golden Goose boots.]

The “stripes” are a little rumpled from being stored. I don’t know; I kind of like them this way. Like I stuck my finger in a socket.

We shot these after an incredible, hours-long brunch at Max London’s with our gorgeous friend Caroline. Being around her just infuses me with this energy and enthusiasm. We sat down in a full restaurant and left an empty one. We all gorged ourselves on woodfired breakfast pizzas, French press coffee, sangria, and Bellinis. I think the Bellinis contributed to my facial expressions here. Pay no mind.

I got these J.Crew toothpick cords in 3 colors and they have absolutely revolutionized my wardrobe. This ochre color is so rich and fantastically Woodstock—you know how all the colors back then were sort of ugly and baby poop-like? A little goes a long way. And although I bought them with a very specific idea in mind, I’ve had a lot of fun pairing them more unexpectedly.

They also worked wonderfully as nap wear—when I passed out for a 2-hour, champagne-induced snooze by the fire shortly after the last photo was snapped. [And the coat served as nap wear for Eli. We are so symbiotic.]

I am obsessed with these cords! I didn’t buy them yet, but now that they are on clearance how can I not. And thanks to you I have a whole new inspirational way of wearing them. Following your blog has been really hard on my wallet, LOL. You have inspired way too many of my purchases!

get ‘em, Robin! Also, go down a size. I went down a waist size and I tend to have a bigger waist than my actual size. They are perfect. :)
