[Rachel Pally convertible bubble dress + Prada boots + Ben Amun dreamcatcher necklace and earrings.]
Dress straight out of my archives marked “must purchase every available Rachel Pally item on ebay in my size.” It was called the bubble dress, but I couldn’t figure out how to make it stay bubbled, so took to letting it drape. Thanks to my trainer, it no longer makes me resemble a lamp shade and, thus, here she is.

[I wore a camel woven belt with it out later, but I like the simplicity of it here because it highlights the odd hemline.]
Also from the archives—this groovy necklace/earrings set from Ben Amun. I wore this necklace/earrings combo almost every day for a year, including the first time I met Rob, and the summer I was in France: I was standing outside a tiny wine bar in Trebes with my parents when these two (intoxicated) British guys walked out. One saw a dreamcatcher (the large, ivory one) resting squarely on my right… er, can. He said, “Well, isn’t this nice,” and poked it.
I’m not positive how my dad felt about that, but I think I can guess. Anyway, I chuckle and remember that whenever I put it on.
And here it is in bubble format. I figured out if I wear a long tank underneath, it gives the hem something to grab on to. Thoughts?
I kind of like the random dramatics of it long, like it’s obviously a mistake but I’m too lazy to fix it. Which is pretty much the case.
Long live Rachel Pally, I say.

beautiful dress, love it

why, ssank you
i like the drama of letting the dress hang and the color is a nice contrast to your hair. I love rachel pally too…so comfy. I just wish it wasn’t so damn expensive for a modal/spandex blend. at least shopbop doesnt have sales tax.
I bought a couple of bubble dresses a while ago and I try them on now and I have no idea why because they make me look bigger than I am and that is def not the look I’m going for. And your legs make me feel like i should be at the gym btw.
Gorgeous necklace too!
I’m finally getting caught up on your blog! As for BOTH incarnations of this dress – love love love!
oh, how I have missed your comments, Hamric!
