Have you ever had a shiggle? I claim to have invented the term, but I’m sure I’m not the only one to have had the sensation: part shake, part wiggle, a.k.a. a shiggle.
I was satisfied to be going through life shaking, wiggling, and on those occasions, shiggling—that is until I saw this dress:
[ADAM basket weave long dress, $375 @shopbop.]
It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten this excited about a dress. Beautiful basket-weave organza bodice, on-seam pockets, cotton voile. So I’m giving it a new psychosomatic response of its own: the Spazmoquivasqueak.
And if it’s too bridal for you, it also comes in black. Simple, clean lines, unfussy straps—begging to be worn with this Twelfth St by Cynthia Vincent chunky, grey cotton cocoon wrap sweater, some Frye Engineer boots, and some silver Low Luv x Erin Wasson pendants and rings.
All items available at shopbop.com.

I would shiggle down the aisle in this dress! But I bet is fantastic in black too… good find!
That’s the exact feeling I got when I found the Otway boots and all the IM on ebay! Hysterical!
Gorgeous dress. How did I miss this? I love your suggested accessories. Can you accessorize me pleeeeze?
love that dress, especially the detail on the bodice. was curious what you thought about this maxi dress.

Wow, that is really vibrant and adorable! I will say one thing, and this just goes for me—I am very big-busted and do everything I can to disguise this… so this style bodice and straps would probably not work in my favor. HOWEVER—if I could fashion that into a halter top that tied—and maybe even switch out the chevron patterns to be varying shades of light blue, navy and white—I would be ALL over this dress
Actually, as the only person there when you invented the word, I can attest to the fact that “shiggle” is a cross between “shiver” and either “jiggle” or “wiggle”. But it’s definitely an involuntary movement!
of course! shiver makes so much more sense…. thanks, madre.
