Copycat. [Don't mind if I do.]

[Rob's J.Crew madras shirt + Rob's watch + J.Crew cardigan + J.Crew shorts + Kors fringed boots + Marc Dr. Q bag + Hat Attack felt hat and Shashi bracelet, both via Free People.]

Perfect stealth look for swiping those free “For ages 12 and under” sugar cookies from the bakery at Hannaford. Only today, there was only one left in the bin, so I veered off to pretend I was looking at a loaf of rye when I heard the freaking lid crack open and it was Rob, completely blowing our cover, frowning at the last cookie with the plastic tongs in his hand.

He marched over to me as I peaced out around a corner with my hat pulled down, scolding him under my breath as he asked, proudly, “Do you want a bite?” “Do I want a bite? Give me that,” I snarled, and ducked behind some English muffins like a junkie.

So inconspicuous.

The above was borrowed (copycatted) from Shopbop:

With my own obvious touches.

Now I’ve got the “Cookie Time” song from Troop Beverly Hills stuck in my head: “And if you loved our haute couture, you’ll adore our haute cuisine—buy some cookies today!”

We are in crazy wedding overload at the moment, and I feel totally UNprepared! :P

I knew I loved this look! How comfortable are you? I LOVE the hat addition. I swear, these days I don’t feel totally put together unless I have a hat on my head.

I just found your blog at work while searching for a review of the Knights Valley Pinot Noir (I work in wine sales), and I just wasted a good hour or so of company time reading it. The photos are gorgeous and the writing superb. Thank you! –Paige

AAAAHHH!!! I’ve told you that I met Velda Plender once, haven’t I? On a flight out of Roanoke, of all places! And when I saw Rilo Kiley at the 9:30 Club, there was a brief break between songs while a guitar tech fixed something, and I couldn’t help myself – I yelled “I love Troop Beverly Hills!” I was only a couple of row back from the stage. Jenny Lewis looked up at me with this grin on her face and says, “Me too!”
