Brunch at The Publican in Chicago.

If you’re someone with a bucket list, put this on it.

Publican
837 W. Fulton Market
Chicago, IL 60607
312-733-9555

[Publican's dining area, with bar seating. You can sit at one of the gorgeous, communal farm tables, or in booths that line the perimeter of the restaurant, complete with shutter doors. Your very own hog stall.]

[Publican mimosa.]

[Publican bloody comes with red onion, pickles, and a little beer of your choice.]

[Red wine poached eggs with hollandaise and prosciutto.]

[Coffee fixings on a lazy Susan in the center of the table. I loved that I had to ask a complete stranger next to me to pass the cream, then plucked a few cubes of cane sugar and fired them into my mug. No packs of Splenda around this joint; I felt like a drifter taken in on my travels and extremely well fed by a farmer and his wife.]

[Enjoying the bathroom. It's the little things.]

I know for certain I looked at Mary across the table at least one time and said, “I’m in heaven.” It was definitely hard to drag us away.

Simply perfect end to a fantastic weekend.
